Hi!
It'll take some time (years) to get to 800. Fortunately, even the creditors who really want to stick it to you cannot stop the passage of time. And, as far as FICO scores go, times will heal all wounds. Keep paying on time. Don't accumulate any more baddies. Work on the medical debt. Keep goodwilling the other paid derogs, and let time take care of the rest.
This is what DTE is showing. they have not updated it for feb 2009 yet its 0 balance

- Stop applying for credit! Repair first, rebuild later.
- Follow the HIPAA process for medical debt (sticked at the top of this forum) when you can afford to pay. And, be sure to follow the steps exactly, beginning with opting out.
- Send goodwill letters to credit one & swiss colony. It may work, it may not. But, it only costs the price of a stamp, and you get a shot at a sympathetic ear.
- What exactly is DTE reporting?
- After you've cleared your medical debt, and after your 18 INQs have all celebrated a birthday, try to get CLIs on your existing cards. Because you do already have credit, let any remaining baddies (that you may not have been able to goodwill) age to 2 years. Then, go for a major bank card (like BoA or Chase).
