How to get docs/media on closed charged-off CC?

I am trying to get a clear picture of fraud-related actvity that occurred on a CC that I accidentally paid collections on. It was also mis-reported multiple times, changed numbers, and bounced around through a few different CAs.

What is the best way for me to go about requesting documentation and old statements from the OC and CAs? Can I do this even though it's been paid collections?

Thanks!

Can you be a little more clear as to 'fraud-related' activity?

It is either fraud or not. If it's fraud, handle it through the legal system.

Since the account is paid, I see no obligation for them to provide anything unless it still is reporting on your CR.

If on your CR, you can get a copy of all the data from them by filing a fraud report.

The fact that the account is now closed and paid does not forclose your ability to dispute the accuracy of information reported to your credit file.

Identify the information that was inaccurately reported, document the reasons for the asserted inaccuracy, and file a direct dispute with the party who reported the disputed information.

While a direct dispute does not compel them to provide legal documentation in support of their verification of accuracy or agreement of its inaccuracy, it does compel them to investigate and report the results back to you.
