How to pay down debt

I have about 12% utilization right now, but for the last 3-4 weeks, I haven't used my cards, only making payments. Is it bad to stop using for a month or so while I pay them down? Silly question, but I genuinely don't know. Thanks in advance!

Not a problem at all, cards need to be used at least once every 90 to 180 days to stay active.

Re: How to pay down debt

When I feel my utilization is too high, I do pull back on using credit cards until I can bring the balances down. I use my bank debt card for awhile. Generally I reduce overall spending and dedicate as much as I can to high balances particularly those with higher interest rates.
