How to read credit reports

I use all three of the major credit companies monthly service while I repair my credit, and Transunion is telling me that it has One Deliquent account. Now I know that I am not currently behind on anything. So I was wondering what field dictates what is a deliquent account.

Any help with trying to figure out the transunion reporting methods would be great.

Thanks.

Re: How to read credit reports

If you pulled your TU report from the MYFICO site, then it's the very first thing that states, what's hurting your score. Then look at each individual trade line (account), look at the current status. Then I do believe towards the bottom of each account listing & off to the right, it should be stating if you have ever been late & by how many days.

Let's say you have been late in the past, for example only, & now you have been staying current & are paying on time each month, the late payment will stay on there for 7 years from when you were late. As time goes by & you continue to be on time your score will rebound. Please keep in mind that it will not happen overnight or with a couple of months. A lot of us have been through this. So I would encourage you to be patient.

In 2003 my score was around 480. Now & 8 years later it is 664. So I do understand were you are coming from.
