How to stop credit card mail?

My dad passed away 1 year ago, but I still receive many letters at his name with credit card advertisement. How can I stop that?

This. Or, if you have an outgoing mailbox, put it there (in communities where there is a common area for mailboxes, there is a separate outgoing mailbox). Or just put "Refused/Return to Sender" on the envelope if you have a non-locking mailbox.  Or put up the flag if you still use one of those.

Just curious, if I already opted out (years ago), why am I still getting mail from places like lendingclub, prosper, etc.?
