I kind of touched on this a little in one of my other threads a couple of weeks ago. Maybe we can figure out a good way to know when Cap1 will see a fairly recent score when they are doing a SP CLI. Looking at other threads, it seems like the scores they use are 6-8 weeks old. Is there any relation in timing between their credit tracker score and when they updated our real FICO scores internally? My credit tracker updates on the 3rd of each month. Maybe that is one way of figuring this out.
OP- I have a membership to equifax.com
they allow you to see what lenders are soft pulling you for Account Reviews/ Promotional stuff etc.
I usually use this as a gage to when Capitalone might update my account/score. They do this every 3-4 months.
I didn't think of that. Some credit reports list SPs. I just checked my TU that I pulled here a few weeks ago. They don't list that but I think I can request my report directly from TU. That may help. The next thing would be to figure out where a person is in the pull schedule. Like for me, if they do it every 3 months, did they just pull it so I have to wait close to 3 months or has it been close to 3 months and they are due to pull it again soon.
Time to investigate!
What kind of timeframe are you seeing between SPs?
Great info!
I just took a look at my TU account online. I show this info-
The companies listed below received your name, address and other limited information about you so they could make a firm offer of credit or insurance. They did not receive your full credit report. These inquiries are not seen by anyone but you and do not affect your score.
CAPITAL ONE BANK USA NA

This is the only account that is listed under Promtional Inquiries. Other accounts are listed under Account Review Inquiries -
The listing of a company's inquiry in this section means that they obtained information from your credit file in connection with an account review or other business transaction with you. These inquiries are not seen by anyone but you and will not be used in scoring your credit file (except insurance companies may have access to other insurance company inquiries, certain collection companies may have access to other collection company inquiries, and users of a report for employment purposes may have access to other employment inquiries, where permitted by law).
Cap 1 is only listed once in this section. That is on 4/1/15.
I don't think I learned anything checking the report. My Score Watch updates on the 2nd each month so I don't know what they base their version of the score on. Maybe the previous month's pull? Or they are updating my actual score that they see internally once per month?
Back to the drawing board...
My Cap 1 Credit Tracker updated today. I know it's a FAKO score but it should have spiked up. The score is the same as last month. I might be able to watch this to see when they update my real score. I think I'll know if it jumps up in the next month or two.
I've had AR on both EQ and EX. Mostly EQ. They seem to happen every 4-6 weeks.
