Hi all,
I've recently been approved for a NFCU credit card and based on the advice I've come across in the forum I decided to pull the trigger on the loc as well. Thanks to the forum, btw! I got approved for the overdraft protection loc and was wandering if it will report just like a credit card or will it be reported as a loan? Since the process to get approved seemed more like that of a loan.
Thanks in advance!!
PS -this is like the best forum ever! Lol
I have a thrifty credit line from PenFed, same concept but it has not still not reported to CRA's and its been like 7 weeks. Im curious to see how mine reports as well. I believe as a LOC, which is either under installment or revolving? not sure.
As stated above, it's considered a Revolving Account simply because it doesn't have a term duration with payments made in installments.
The CRs do, however, mark it as a "Line of Credit" in the "Account Type" field (as opposed to "Credit Card"), so a manual review of your report will indicate it's a LOC.
Thanks guys I really appreciate the info! I kind of figured it would be revolving but wasn't sure.
I have a PLOC with NASA FCU. It reports as a revolving account, but similar to the AMEX PRG NPSL.
I just noticed mine reporting to EX, reports as Revolving like others said.
