Huntington Voice Free Fico Score

Its is faily well-known that Huntington Voice provides a monthly free EQ Fico score. But there does seem to some confusion on the model. Some people claim it is EQ Fico 8 and others claim it is EQ Fico Bankcard 02. I always was convinced that it is the latter. Indeed the fine print on the bottom of Huntingon Voice Fico score page says:

"Your FICO® Score is calculated based on data from Equifax using the FICO® Bankcard Score 02 model "

But as of today I'm utterly confused: The fine print in the bottom of the page still says "FICO® Bankcard Score 02". By close to the top of page (right below the score) it now says:

"Your FICO® Score 9 based on Equifax data is the same score that Huntington uses to manage your account."

So maybe  Huntington just switch to Eq Fico 9 and forgot to update the fineprint. But that seems unlikely since the score I got today is the exact same as in the previous two months (and has been in a narrow 5 point range for the last year).

As anybody else noticed the reference to Fico 9? When did it first appear? When it did first occur,  did the score change?

Re: Huntington Voice Free Fico Score

Just a quick update:   The fine print on the bottom of Huntingon Voice Fico score page  now says:

Your FICO® Score is calculated based on data from Equifax using the FICO® Bankcard Score 9 model.

So it does seem that Huntington  switched from  EQ Fico Bankcard Score 02 to EQ Fico Bankcard Score 9.

Correct. Depending on when the last SP was done for certain accounts, it could've reflected the old score model as they transitioned to the newest one and updated the disclaimer language on the site.

Are you sure it is Fico 9?     The Huntingon Voice Fico score page just  changed  again :

As the last time I checked  the   fine print on the bottom of the page says:

"Your FICO® Score is calculated based on data from Equifax using the FICO® Bankcard Score 9 model "

But now  close to the top of page (right below the score) it  says:

"Your FICO® Score  8 based on Equifax data is the same score that Huntington uses to manage your account."

Sounds like someone needs to give them a call and speak with someone that knows their stuff to find out which model is actually being used.

  1. I hate phone calls.
  2. The chances to get to talk (or be transferred) to someone who knows their stuff must be close to 0.

Then the chances of you figuring out with certainty which scoring model is being used is close to 0 as well.

Re: Huntington Voice Free Fico Score

Well, the  score and the wording  on the webpage  just updated, and  it now seems to be Eq Fico  8

  1.  Under the score  it says:  Your FICO® Score 8 based on Equifax data is the same score that Huntington uses to manage your account.
  2. In the fine print is says: Your FICO® Score is calculated based on data from Equifax using the FICO® Score 8.
  3. The scores exactly matches the  Eq Fico  8   I  got from  CCT   this month.
