I disputing a balance as incorrect the quickest way to get it updated on cr?

I made a big payment on my Lowe's account because I am applying for a mortgage at the end of Feb/1st of March.

Lowe's reports around the 7th

I made the payment on the 5th statement cut on the 6th but the balance did not show my big payment.

Is disputing the balance as incorrect the best way to get them to show the actual balance of the account (which shows my payment now?)

I would not dispute the balance as it is not incorrect. Not all ccc report your balances to the CRA on the statement date. I would call the ccc and ask if they will do an inter-cycle update to the CRA as a favor to you. They are under no obligation to do this, but they often will if you explain why.
