I was on the fence about closing some cards cause frankly I really only need two (though I have two others which are getting used some still not including minimal recurring charges on others).
Then I found I had to literally get all my credit cards at zero except one to optimize my EX mortgage score with two open installment loans and I suspect it may be the same on EQ/TU which are dirty and meh... 20% is an annoying line to hit if that holds up in future testing.
FICO optimization for me > closing some credit cards that have been idle so long I don’t know if I can find them right now haha.
