I had 583 truecred it, transunion score. I applied for hsbc card and declined online in 5 minutes I applied for hooters card and got declined and then I applied for Wamu card and got declined. It happened in like 10 minutes. HOOTERS and WAMU checked TU and HSBC checked EX.

I thought they are easy to get credit cards?

I forgot to tell you guys I just checked my TU score and it went down to 546 after these 2 inquiries from 583. That is a big loss in points.

Right now I am so pissed that I would not apply for anything for 2 years till all the inquiries are gone from my credit report.

Don't get pissed ... get even...get your scores above 600..more around 620 and try again.  This credit thing takes time.

They stay on your report two years, but they only count towards your score for 12 months.

I have 2 credit cards. orchard bank with 400 credit limit and bac with 300 credit limit (secured card). I want to know if 2 cards are enough to build strong credit history?

I have orchard bank card for 1 year. I forgot to ask them for credit limit increase after 6 months. I called the 2 weeks and ask them for credit limit increase and the rep told me congratulations you are approved for 100 dollar credit limit increase. I was like WTH. But I will take it for now. I have never charged more than 10 percent on my orcahrd card. i relaly have a very good history with that. Rep told me I can ask for more credit limit increase after 2 months. Is it true?

True credit scores are inaccurate. You need to pull your FICO scores from myfico. These are the only scores that count with lenders. Truecresit scores can often be up to a 100 points less or greater.
