I have posted several times on this board that I was in a DMP with AMEX and was having a horrible experience. The program had finished earlier this year and it has been reporting incorrectly for a long time.
Long story short, AMEX updated my CR that the balance is zero and all my scores went up 17 pts. However, it still showed as Collection/Debt Management Program. I have been battling with the Executive Offices over this and I got a phone call today that they are removing the tradeline completly from all three CR.
I asked for verification in writing and I got a letter faxed to me and the original is being mailed.
So don't give up if you think you are getting the run around. There is someone out there in that corporate structure that is willing to listen to you and help you if you keep pounding on the doors.
Will I have an AMEX again, I doubt it but they came through at the end for me.
