OK, I'll bite. How did you do it?
Two collection accounts fell off. FIrst one increased my score by 50 points then the last one fell off this past week and score jumped 149 points when that fell off.
Were these your only collection accounts, so that now you have no collection accounts remaining? Congrats, by the way!
@Norby wrote:I set a goal on New Years to break 750 credit score and I finally did it!
I started out the year with a 650 credit score with four credit cards. Chase Freedom - $2,900, Capital One Platinum - $3,500, Best Buy - $1,000, and Amazon Store Card - $600. I had zero derrogatory marks, and 6 missed payments. (5, 2 30-day, 1 60-day, 1 90-day on a closed account 4 years ago, 1 30-day on the CapOne account I opened when I was 18) with credit utilization of about 74% and 2 hard inquiries.
I began to understand how the scoring worked, so I did all I could to lower my utilization. In late May, I was able to get it down to 20% and I applied for some new cards. The first was Chase Sapphire Preffered for $5000. Then I got a Barclaycard World Mastercard. Initiallly I was declined, but I called recon and got approved for $2,500 but I was able to talk the rep up to $3,500. I also was instantly approved for CapOne QuickSilver for $1,000. This put my total credit limit to $17,500 from $8,000.
Since then, I've used my cards for everyday purchases and made payments multiple times a month to avoid paying interest. Since then, I got an auto credit limit increase from CapOne from 3,500 to 6,500 and Chase Sapphire Preferred from $5,000 to $7,000 putting me at $22,500.
I'm now sitting pretty with a score of 751. My next goal is to hit 775. I couldn't have done it without the help from these forums. 4 months in the garden and counting.
Thats impressive. congrats and welcome to the forums.

That is correct
Congrats! That's great progress - and motivating for some of us who are waiting for the collection from forever-ago to fall off.
300 Points.... 4 months... .. 410's to the mid 700's since May this year
Hard work pays off! Congrats!
