Well after I hit a 704 on my EX I decided to apply for a couple new cards to replace my sub prime cards. I got turned down for a CCCU card because I have a Chex Systems entry for an old bank.

I got the 7-10 day message (I have a public record on my CR for a tax lien) after applying for a Clear and I just checked and I was approved!!!! Now I'm not sure what the limit is but I anticipate it to be pretty decent as my Delta card is at 5k right now.

I don't feel so bad about closing my $250 First Premiere card now

fp charge me 30 for 100, orchard was pretty good annually for a free cli. had em about 2 1/2 years. started at 300 and bumped me to 700 when i kicked 'em to the curb.

I only opened my FP card in Jan of this year and I was paying $6 a month for a TL. Right now with a 700 and some higher 600s I didn't think it was prudent to have a $250 sub prime card on my CR as active.

I still have an HSBC Platinum with a not so good $300 limit and $39 AF and a Tribute card with a $350 CL to replace. I was going to see about a CLI on both of them this month as they turn 6 mos old this month. If they say no, then I'll just close them out. I basically don't use them now as I have multiple cards with 10-15 times the CL. Hopefully HSBC gives me a nice boost. I'm kinda doubting Tribute will.....

I found out today that they gave me 2k for the CL. Not bad considering they gave me 1k on my Delta in July. I'm thinking about a CLI at activation

Let us know if you get the CL at activation. My hubby tried and they told him he had to wait.
