I'm confused on what I should do now

I have been reading the forums and monitoring my credit like crazy.  I have pulled all three of my reports and I monitor the reports and score changes on TU and EQ.  I dont think Experian can be monitored for score changes on this site.

My scores are:
TU - 589
EQ - 592
EX - 665

Here is the funny part.... EX has alot more negative items than TU and EQ.  I focused all my disputes on TU and EQ, so I knew EX would have the most negative.  But why the much higher score???

My biggest issue is that fact that I have a collection on my EX.  It was originally on all three, but it has been removed from TU and EQ.  The collection is from a CC I let go bad, back in my college years.

Here is the info on the collection:
OC -  Bank of America/MBNA
Date opened 4/2002.  Date of last activity 9/2005.  Balance 0.  Account transferrred to another office

CA - Asset Acceptance (MRS is actually doing the collecting)
Account seriously past due date/account assigned to attorney, collection agency, or credit grantor's internal collection department. Date of last activity 5/2006.  Balance is $2321

Here are my 3 plans of attack:
1 - dispute this with EX and hope it falls off just like it did with TU and EQ.  I doubt it falls off because a rep from MRS told me they work with EX only and they verify disputes quickly.

2 - Wait for it to drop off.  But from what date does it drop off??

3 - Since my credit is high with EX.  Maybe I should get a credit card that only pulls EX, setup a balance transfer and take the 60cents on the dollar offer MRS offerred me on this account.  60% of $2321 is $1392.60.

Reporting starts from DOFD

If you pay it off, I suggest getting PFD.

Anybody have some other ideas.  I am considering writing a letter to EX and asking them to delete that collection since EQ and TU found it to be unverified

If Asset is the one listed on your CR then the dispute you file will be against them to verify. MRS has absolutely nothing to do with verifying the Asset collection on your report. I had a few collections like this. I simply disputed the entry and it dropped off but it might be better to send a DV to Asset and at the same time dispute it with the CRA. That way if Asset verifys it to EX without replying to your DV you have them on a violation. If everyting comes back as verified, then I would ask for a PFD and I would offer 50%. Good luck.
