They keep emailing me that my dispute results are ready but they give me such a hard time trying to view them! Their issue now is that the pdf isn't available or some crap like that. Then stop emailing me!
Yes, they seriously need to update their process for reviewing results. Like you said they make it so hard, i just don't understand how it doesn't verify who i am, whenever i'm putting in the correct information, what gives?

After having a total meltdown on the phone, the manager apologized and sent me an access code so I could get into my account.
The access code never works for us. The idiots changed the name of our Business.(reflecting new employment now) Now how come they can't confirm a Business but yet they will pop that fake piece of crap on there?
Well they probably had to lay off a ton of people to pay the 650 million fine. And now they have a burned out skeleton crew over there working the phone lines and computers. D'OH!
Equifax is a train wreck - I’m never able to view any of my completed disputes. Mind you, this is after I log into my account, and see the notification that they are complete. The only way to get anywhere with them is to file a case with the CFPB. I’ve no idea why a semi monopoly like Equifax is allowed to exist with behavior like this. All their back offices are in foreign countries - judging from their accents, most likely India, Pakistan and the Philipines- (mod cut-please not here) - another scandal/ disaster with zero accountability to the US legal system, waiting to happen. Plus they can barely speak English. I wish my Spanish was better (Spanish speakers have access to US based Spanish speaking reps) or maybe I will start learning to speak Hindi. What a sad state of affairs.
After reading through this thread I had to walk away. We all know any normal business would loose the customer but, with the credit bureau everything is different. Get too mad! A "Rant" makes sense only that most everyone in the MyFico Forum already knows about this bureau.
For my piece of this, it took me two years with small breathing spaces to cool down. I kept re-disputing items that were not properly handled and corrected. Note, there are legal rules on what is a qualified dispute and I stayed between the legal lines (it was not easy). Someone mentioned that with all the many situations the bureau is in, the people working there may be tied into what they actually can do (limited I suspect) so it is even harder for all of us.
In the end I used snail mail and all paper disputes along with paper documentation if required and a cover letter further pointing to the errors. Sent everything with postal tracking and sometimes Equifax would not respond and pickup the tracked mail from their own mail center where the USPS documented drop off. No problem, I sent the same information changed the cover letter and told them the US Postal Inspector's Office would be visiting for legal violations related to their handling of delivered tracked mail.
In the end it got corrected. Yes, it took lots of time and I am "not poking the bear" again if I don't have to! Two years is too long
With news of the recent EQF settlement and claims process, I think we all should file for compensation from Equifax for our wasted time. Now, to get a substantial amount we will have to keep extremely detailed records. But even if we just file against the lower threshold/ lower compensation amounts, it will still hurt EQF - If we can mobilize the multitudes of us who have been abused by this vile organization. Equifax is an abomination - it not just their outsourcing to India/ Philippines/ Bangladesh to (mod cut-please not here) these countries- associated security risks (mod cut). One wonders if it’s just part of a calculated strategy by Equifax management sitting in their comfortable offices in Atlanta. As a quasi public monopoly Equifax should be held to a higher standard, not lower. The more they are hit in the pocketbook where it hurts, the better. The best outcome for them would be to go out of business or be taken over by another company. None of the dealings I’ve had with Experian or TransUnion have even come close to the incompetence and malice I’ve experienced at the hands of Equifax. And both TU and EXP outsource abroad as well, so it’s not just that.
Equifax is definetely scheming, not sure what they're up to. What I find interesting is most CC companies use EQ yet they have been the worst to deal with. Not to mention all the breeches and you should file for compensation because I did. lol
