I think Equifax is broken....

It seems to me like Equifax is broken. It's the only one of the 3 bureaus who hasn't really moved score wise. The other 2 have been updating regularly and the score steadily rising but Equifax..nope. Still startlingly low and unmoving. Frustrated.

Starting Scores (9/19): EQ - 474/TU - 528/EX - 502
Current Scores (09/22): EQ - 617- TU - 638/EX - 647
Comenity M/C - $6730.00, BJs Perks MC - $2800.00, Credit One - $1200.00, Credit One - $800.00, NFCU -$6300.00, Care Credit - $5000.00, William Sonoma - $3500.00, Overstock - $4100.00, Pottery Barn - $2000.00>

I had similar experience with them, cross check that it has the same account (good or bad) with other CRAs.  They had one account from 2001 for me others didnt, send letter, removed and its ok now

It happens.  My EX and EQ havent budged in months, and I doubt they will till my baby accounts grow up a bit.

Yes, all accounts are the same across all 3 bureaus though it seems EQ also has the oldest dates when updated.  So frustrating.

Why won't my Equifax score update?

I've been working on my rebuild since September.  I have paid things off, paid things down and added positive accounts and history to my credit file.  Both Trans Union and Experian have all updated quickly and rise by 60+ points a piece but my Equifax score hasn't changed since December?!?  They have updated things on the report itself but absolutely no rise in score since then.  WTH?  This is so frustrating.

Are accounts on all three CRAs exactly the same? My EQ lags because some older accounts have fallen off that are still on TU and EX. EQ is also the last to update both accounts and scores for me. It could be you are close to a change in score but haven't hit that tipping point yet, since each CRA has their own scoring model they use.

Re: Why won't my Equifax score update?

They are all pretty much the same for the most part except Eq and Ex still has 2 Cap One accounts showing that TU deleted for some reason.  Other than that, all info is the same.  It's just so frustrating because it's my lowest score and hasn't changed one point since December yet shows changes and much lower utilization.

@hpotterfan77  I've merged your two other threads, including the one from last week with the newer one dealing with the same problem.

Please keep us updated here.

Thank you
