IC Systems

I'm sooooo angry. I had a checking account that went into collections with Washington Mutual. I left town thinking I had enough time to pay it but it was too late and they closed the account.

The account was sold to ER Solutions but I never paid them. Therefore it was just transferred to IC Systems.

I decided to arrange payments with them because ER Solutions remove it from my credit and IC Systems had not reported me. IC Systems said I had to pay them by February 17 or they will report it to the credit beauru.

I made arrangements to pay the account in full and the guy said it would be ok if I made a second payment in full by the 21st and that they would not report me.

I called today to actually make an earlier payment and I asked the rep if they had reported me and he said they did it on Sunday!!!

I spoke with Josh, the account rep responsible for my account and he pretty much said that he told me that the account had not been reported at the time when we spoke and I paid a portion of the amount owed.

I argued with him because he did tell me it would not be reported. Then, he said they would update my account to show paid in full. I said NO! I would not pay a penny unless they removed it and he said he would talk to his manager and see if they can remove it. I told him regardless of the outcome I would want him to give me a call and also a letter. I told him not to lie to me because whatever he says I want it in writing.

I'm even making the ENTIRE payment on the account and not a settlement!

Should I wait for him to call me back by Thursday or should I contact their CEO? I read somewhere here that they emailed the CEO and it got deleted.

This is just frustrating.

have you already made any payments to ic systems?  if not, go to the bank that you had the checking account with, and ask to speak to the bank manager, and pay them.  i had a similar situation, and although a few years had passed, i called the banks internal collections dept (although the account was with an outside collections agency) and they advised me to go to the bank directly.

I agree with Angie... I Paid IC systems and they promised to remove the account.  THEY NEVER DID!!  I have been fighing with them for years sending letters disputing everything.  Try to talk to the bank see what they can do.  IC is not nice!

If the account was sold, then I'm not sure what help OP is going to get from WAMU. If it's not owned by them all they're going to do is direct it back towards the company they sold too.

Also, are they making all these promises verbally? If anything I'd get it in writing, I trust nothing a CA or the like says over the phone, since their only goal is to get paid.
