If I apply for a new card and get it, but keep utilizatio...

If I apply for a new card and get it, but keep utilization low will my score take a hit?  I am rebuilding my credit and don't know if its better to just leave well enough alone or try to have more credit available to me. Thanks,

I have been working to increase my score and dicovered that utilization was vital.  So using my cards and paying the balance in full every month was not working, as the cards were reporting the statement balance, and with low credit limits I had a very high utilization.

So I got a new card with a high limit and it resulted in a 10 point increase in my EU score (it did not pull a hard inq from EU)  Smiley Happy

Your score may take an initial hit since you obtained a new Inq and account. But the more unused avail credit the better!
