I am working with EQ and my CC company to have a delinquent account that belongs to my husband removed from my account. They have both confirmed that I'm an authorized user but this is not a joint/shared account. Additionally, they both understand that the account was opened prior to our marriage. Once, this information is removed, what type of an increase in my credit score should I expect? Does it go back to where it was prior to its arrival or do I have to wait for it to work it's way back up?
I was making good process until this account showed up.
PS. Both TU & EX are not reporting this account.
I'm happy to report that I received my new credit report for Equifax today (I began the dispute on 5/19) and I have been removed from my husband's CC. I checked my Score Watch today and my score went up 108 points!!! I was shocked and very pleased.
I'm not disputing two collections on my account and am in contact with the collection agencies and the company's that sent them there. So far, so good. I hope to have more of an update next week.
Yippeee!!! Today was a good day!
