Hello everybody,
I just applied for a $5,000 increase in my credit limit for a Bank of America Card which is now at $15,000. Would the bank do a "hard pull" of my credit report--or is it done "internally"--hence, only a "soft pull?"
Thank you in advance for any advice.

I have a B of A card, and when I click on the link for a credit line increase, I see this message:
"In factoring our decision for a credit line increase on a personal account, your account performance and credit status will be reviewed. This request will not result in an inquiry to your credit report unless you are notified that it is required, and the decision will not have any impact on your credit history."
So, they might or they might not, but they should ask for your permission before doing a hard inquiry.
I'm supposed to receive an answer in about 5 business days.
