Inevitable 'Didn't Get' EPS thread

So, this is the inevitable "I didn't get an economic stimulus rebate" check thread.
So why didn't you get yours and do you know what to do about it?
I'm clueless. It just didn't happen and that IRS link that has been going around does nothing. I'm not the mosy ME person there is but I was sure interested in getting a peice of this pie.

Re: Inevitable 'Didn't Get' EPS thread

I'm not going to get it because my wife has an ITIN.  There is nothing I can do about it but I think that it is pretty unfair that I don't get any of the money for what I have earned.  I don't want any money for my wife because she doesnt pay any taxes but I should get something!  If I file without my wife, I would owe almost as much as the single rebate of $600.

Do you mean you didn't get it because you didn't qualify or you were supposed to have gotten one and haven't received it yet?

Not everyone, actually only a few, have received theirs yet.

What IRS link? The calculator? The "where is my stimilus payment" ? The payment schedule?

The "where is my stimilus payment" feature that allows you to check the status of your payment will NOT work until AFTER your payment should have been issued.

Re: Inevitable 'Didn't Get' EPS thread

I think everybody here already knows all these things.
I qualify. I'm in the lowest numbers. I mailed mine. I have direct deposit. I didn't get the the money as perscibed. The "where is" link went dumb on me.
This is the "I was supposed to get. I didn't get it" thread.

Re: Inevitable 'Didn't Get' EPS thread

Sorry, I was only trying to help. I didnt know why you hadn't gotten one or what batch you were in, I didn't go read all your previous post. Your initial post only said you didn't get it and didn't know what to do about it. I thought you wanted some assistance.

However, by your resposne I can only assume you don't wish to have assistance, you only wish to complain b/c you have no money in your account. I'll leave it to you to figure out why you haven't gotten it and what to do about. Not sure the point of the post.

Sorry that I didn't know that "didn't get" meant you were supposed to and didn't instead of maybe meaning you weren't going to get one. Bad on me for trying to clarify that.

As for "everyone already knowing these things" , if you were meaning that everyone already knew what I mentioned, well then I would have to wonder why there are thread after thread regarding the stimulus payment.

Re: Inevitable 'Didn't Get' EPS thread

How does anyone know they are already "suppose" to have gotten their check? I remember reading that issuing all the payments is going to take 3-4 months. Last payments will be going out in late July.

It's not our fault we're just trying to be a sounding board...don't get angry if you don't like the answer...would you prefer we tell you that the government is trying to "stick it to you"?  No you wanted to know why...and they were trying to help you.
This is a quote from the other thread.  You mailed in what you owed.

beenthere wrote:

That is not necessarily true. If you e-filed with TurboTax your check will be mailed to you. I used Turbo Tax and mailed the IRS what I owed.  In the filing process there was a provision calling for direct deposit information for the sole purpose of receiving a direct deposit of the stimulus check.

Here is a quote from the IRS website....pay close attention to the last sentence

Q. I filed my return on time, but I haven’t received my stimulus payment, even though the payment date listed for my Social Security number has passed. Why?

A. In general, the payment schedule only applies if your return was received and the IRS finished processing your return before April 15. If you filed your return on time, but close to the April 15 deadline, the IRS may not have finished processing it before April 15.

Processing times for tax returns and stimulus payments vary. If you are getting a regular income-tax refund, the IRS will send you that refund first. Normally, your stimulus payment will follow one to two weeks later.

If you are not expecting a regular tax refund, your stimulus payment should arrive a minimum of six weeks after you file.
