Silly question, If an inquiry does not show up on your FICO report but shows up on the CRA's web site report do lenders see the information from the FICO generated report or the CRA report?. The reason I ask is because if part of the score is based on inquires then that can change my score a little bit right? The inquiries are almost 2 years old and I haven't applied for new credit in about 2 years. Can someone shine some light on this for me. Sorry if it sounds confusing or awkward.
The lender will see what u see if you two see the same report: EQ/TU/EX.
fico stops scoring inquiries after 12 months - they don't affect your score, BUT they do show up to anyone looking at your report for 2 years.
I am kinda confused on your question, do you mean your MYFICO SW REPORT vs the report directly from the CRA? If yes, then it should be the same. Don't confuse the whole FAKO score thing w/ what is on your reports. What is on reports is the SAME, it's just scored differently depending on who scores it.
The "soft" inquiries done by yourself when you pull your reports, and other soft hits, can't be seen by anyone but you though.
Sorry if that didn't answer your questions.
Than you for the reply but yes I was talking about the FICO score and you answered my question. I didn't know they stopped scoring after 12 months, so that explains why they don't show up on the SW Report. Thanks for the feedback.
All credit reports are based on the same original data, which is obtained only from the CRAs. No party can produce a CR that is not based on procuring data from the CRA,
What you then see in a given credit report, as opposed to a credit score, is only what the commercial vendor of the particular credit report chooses to include. Some are more comprehensive than others. Inquiries that you make and that others make, such as promotional inquires not initiated by you, show only on your CR, not on those received by others.
Credit scores, on the other hand, are based on a full scan by whatever scoring algorithm is used of your entire credit file. The algorithm does not first reduce the information scored to only what is included in their particular flavor of CR, and then score only that data.
Lendors see what they buy. Hard inquiries related to new credit initiated by you are pretty much universally included in all commerical credit reports.
