Inquiry Points

I looked at my CR inquiries from TC.com and I see that a company called FAC has been running an inquiry on me for months -- 11 of them in a row. I have no idea who this company is. Before I dispute this, I want to know if I will gain any points? I am going to dispute it anyway but I am just curious as to if I will get any points from it or not.

Thanks.

Re: Inquiry Points

MissyBell...are these soft inquiries? If so, they are not hurting you. I used to have this company on my CR, don't remember why though, though I believe it was from when I applied for a home equity loan last year.
Ok I found an oild credit report...FAC pulls credit reports on behalf of Capital One....or at least they did in this case.

Re: Inquiry Points

As TC does not display soft INQ's. I am assuming they are HARD.

Re: Inquiry Points

I do have a C/O card. I've never been late or close to the limit. Why would they pull a credit report on me monthly? Yes, it is TC.com and I am trying to figure out why they did this and if I can gain some points? If it is CO and I have an acct with them, then I probably cannot say that I did not give them permission since I am sure that it is somewhere in their small print that they can do it, huh?

Re: Inquiry Points

All (most) of my creditors pull my reports monthly for an A/R (account review), but they are soft inquiries. If these are indeed hard inquiries, call them and ask why...
