Inquiry Reset! Reached my 0/24 Goal!

My last HP on any CRB was two years ago yesterday when I applied for my AMEX Gold with an EX HP.   So now I'm 0/6; 0/12/; 0/24 on all three CRBs!  Smiley Surprised   I post this to share with the community and as a precursor to resuming a few selected applications with hopes that my approvals will be favorably influenced.  Smiley Happy   We often say on My FICO that managing our credit is a marathon, not a sprint.  Sometimes, it's important to pace ourselves.  Reaching a "fasting" goal from credit seeking can be just as satisfying as getting a new card and taking a break helps to clarify future goals and strategy.

While I have no HPs, I've gotten several SP CLIs and even added one AMEX card with a SP, my Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant.  (For new cards, I'm 0/6; 1/12; 1/24.)   I've not always had so many inquiries, but from 2018 to 2020 I started a major credit card makeover and added many new cards.  Over that time, my SLs had slowly fallen due to the credit-seeking and I got my first two denials for a new card in decades.  Ouch.  And that was even without derogs, low utilization, high FICO, high income.  It was time to stop and take a break.  Initially, I planned to just cool it for awhile with no particular goal, but gardening became a habit.  (Insider tip:  It gets easier as you do it longer.)

*For some reason, my EX app shows the last inquiry won't be officially removed until 09/15/22 which would be 25 months after the inquiry.

@Aim_High, congratulations on investing in the garden! Aging off HPs and growing limits can be very rewarding and makes your profile even stronger.

Congrats on reaching that 0/24 goal and congrats and your over credit profile. The siggy shows much dedication to credit. Patience appears to be key.
