Inquiry while CRA's are Investigating???

My husband and I are working with our financial planner to correct our credit files. He has told us that when there is a dispute or investigation at the 3 CRA's you shouldn't have any inquiries made or it resets the "clock".  I keep getting mixed answers from different people. Is this correct though???

Thanks in advance!

I have never heard that but I am no expert. Are you talking about the dispute clock?

Yes, the dispute clock.
We are needing to apply for a personal loan at the bank, but we have dispute letters out right now. So, I'm trying to find out which is correct. Smiley Indifferent

Re: Inquiry while CRA's are Investigating???

Disputes do not stop inqs. Only stops the account in question. Inqs for other stuff will not reset the clock. But I think the reference to the clock that you were referring to was the inq clock (date of last inq). Yep it does. Anytime you have inqs less than 3 months old it can make it harder to be approved for things.
