Interesting letter from NCO

As I've said in other threads, I sent NCO a PFD. Never heard nothing, so sent an email to Mike.

Never heard nothing, but was deleted from all 3 reports.

Today, I get a letter from NCO. Enclosed was an envelope where they mailed it to a non-existent address, it partially contained a former address, even though I sent them my current address in both the PFD and email.

Dear sidewinder,

Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding the above-referenced account. Please be advised that we have contacted the creditor with a request for validation of the above-referenced account. We will forward any materials we receive as a result of our request to your attention for your review and consideration.

In addition, please be advised that we have contacted the credit bureaus, with which we do business, with our request to update our listing of the account as disputed on your credit profile for the SS # we have listed in our records. Please be advised that NCO cannot effect a change to how any other company or entity may have the above account on your credit profile. We appreciate the opportunity to respond to your inquiry.

Very truly yours,

Lisa Signore,

Re: Interesting letter from NCO

I don't have an answer. I would print org. copies of each CR and save it for future reference, if needed.

How does the deletion date and the date on this letter compare?

Letter dated March 17th, 2008 and deletions occured this past week. The first one on the 4th, then the other two followed.

I'm not complaining, I'll take the deletion.

I am paying the OC for the debt. I just wonder if the OC couldn't validate, which I would think that considering I still have phone service with them, they'd be able to validate.

I bet you five bucks there's another letter floating around out there. That other letter would mention that they are going to delete.

Re: Interesting letter from NCO

Can you PLEASE let me know what address you sent this to and what email you used?

I have a CC on credit reports for NCO for phone. Paid but would LOVE to get it off!

Re: Interesting letter from NCO

Sidewinder,

I got the exact same letter (worded I mean) dated 31-March-2008, and my note to Lisa and Mike was for a settlement PFD.

No delection yet, but fingers are crossed based on your experience.

Re: Interesting letter from NCO

My letter was a PFD as well and I received that same letter from Lisa. Today when I got home she asked me by email to fax over a tracking number(GC) so she can investigate. I did immediately so we'll see what happens. I will keep you posted.
