ncblondie--- if i dispute the current balance , why would the CRA's delete the entire TL on an active open account?? that doesnt make any sense!

Does hardly anything the CRAs do make sense?  However, if they do delete the TL, you can go back to the reporting company and ask them to reinstate the past TL since it's still open.

I disputed how a late was showing up twice on my TU report, and TU responded back by putting a notice in the description...'account disputed by consumer' and TU no longer factors in any of my info for that account. The account still shows up on my report but its not calc'd into my utilization or positive/negative factors anymore.
