Hi peeps, quick question for the credit experts:
Is it possible to remove duplicative inquiries from credit reports? I got a second home mortgage from New American Funding. After closing, I immediately filed for a refi with them for another property. (FYI, don't refi with them, a refi with a Heloc involved is too complicated for them).
In any case, just checked my report and they basically did one hard pull every month during the financing process! So I have 6 inquiries from them and I could kill them.
Is there hope for removal, or do I have to wait a year (or 2) for them to drop off? I know it's just a modest score drag, but maybe I have rights? 🤷🏾♀️
Thanks in advance!
If you were aware of the HPs and legitimately seeking credit, then generally you can't get them removed. That said, it'd be worth contacting the lender and asking if they'd maybe consider removing them as a goodwill gesture. Worst they can say is no.

+1
I would certainly contact lender. If you're sure they were all HP, 6 is excessive. Ask for a GW gesture nicely, but they had permissible purpose, so there's no obligation to remove them.
Yup, all hard pulls, bunch Mod cut - Not here, please
Thanks!
