Hi Team Awesome
I have a Discover and my DH is the AU.
I paid the balance down to almost nothing in preperation for a mortgage.
A day after the statement cut my DH myfico gets the alert and new balance.
Me? Nada.
So who's lagging? EQ, myfico or Discover?
Thank you! Y'all rock.
If you look at your Discover score it will show you when it was generated. Today is 9/24 and my most current is 9/6. Without actually generating a new report myFICO is behind unless there was a triggering event.
Once Discover actually reports to you bureau it would be updated if you pulled a new report.
Remember, your mortgage scores are going to be different than what you are currently seeing. You will need to pay for a 3B report on myFICO to see the mortgage versions. And these versions do not update on myFICO until you pay again (or can refresh them every 3 months on the top plan). Your lender will likely use your middle score.
You can also try Credit Check Total to see your curent FICO 08 scores. Do the trial for $1 and cancel within the week. Usually if you cancel they try to keep you with a half off offer.
So, only way to see your UPDATED mortgage score is to either have a lender pull your score (don't want that until you apply) or pay for the 3B report.
I admit for the longest time on here I would see my 08 score change with the monitoring service and wondered why the other versions were not affected. Someone finally clued me in.
Appreciate the feedback! But again, my husband's myfico account triggered the drop in balance but mine did not. He's only an authorized user. Discover reported on 9/20.
I know I have to pay for the other scores or wait for the one they provide. I've paid for several over the last few months while waiting to give the broker the go ahead to run the mortgage request
Call the creditor and inform them of the apparent lack of update.
They can then inform you of when/if they filed an actual update with the CRA on your account.
I called Discover. They assured me it reported on 9/20 and they cannot control when/how the CRAs report. I just find it odd my husband's updated immediately and he's only the AU.
