Is my history to short? Is there an upper limit on my scores at this point?

My oldest account is in 2005 I believe, plus i have around 40k of student loans.

The only baddie on my ex and eq reports is a small collection which is in DV process, and it looks like it will be removed.

Once it is removed is there anything else I can do other than pay off those loans and make timley payments?

I have a delta amex which I pay off everymonth before the cut date so that only about 50ish (of 1000 limit) is reported.

I'm just puzzled because it seems people have gotten green/gold amex with simmilar scores as mine?

I've seen some who mentioned they were in college  at 18,19,20 with scores well into the 700s. Now maybe there was an AU acct.

I bet that if the CA is removed, then scores would bump at least 50 points across the board.

If the AMEX is the only one reporting, then I'd get a couple more cards: one reg. CC and one store charge. It'll lower your age, but most of the loss, if any would be recouped after 4-6 months.

I think people posting that they received AMEXs with scores in the low to mid 600s are either reporting incorrectly (i.e. a FAKO score), or it was a fluke, or maybe they already had an established history and AMEX weighed that in.
