Is the seven years based on "date of last activity"?

when looking at my report,  all my "paid charge offs" (5 to be exact) say "date of last activity" all in early to mid 2004.  So in 2011, will these be removed/not counted on my score at that 7 year aniversary??  Some that say the last activity was in 04 have that "ok", 30/60/90 paid late chart at the bottom of the page and some go to 2005...just trying to figure out when these bad will finally fall off....score has been in the same range for like 3 years, my score is maxed until those fall off.  Really ready to have it sky rocket.

Late payments stay for 7 years from each individual date of delinquency.

CO's and collections stay for 7-7.5 years from the DoFD (Date of First Delinquency) on the OC account that led to the CO or collection. The DoLA cannot be relied on for determining when a derogatory will be deleted from your report.

The reports should say when it is due to fall off.

The full reports from Experian and Transunion should but reports from third party sites often don't have the most complete information. I wasn't sure where the OP pulled the report(s).

Yes, there is no place from the myfico.com report that tells me when it is due to fall off.  So, I would have to pull from the actual equifax site?

Only if you've already gotten your once a year for free EQ report at annualcreditreport.com. No reason to pay money for a report if you don't have to. And remember checking with the creditor is another option.

I had the same thing happen last year and WOAH Smiley Surprised  it was a much bigger jump than I expected.   They all fell off within a month or two of each other (not completely sure because I wasn't really watching it that closely,) but I had set my target score on Score Watch to 700 when I was at 685 and it jumped over the line all the way to 725!! I then updated my goal to 750 and to my surpise it passed that within a couple of weeks.  Then I set it to 800 (assuming I would never get there without a mortgage, ) and it passed that within a couple of months!!!   I wish you the best of luck and just make sure to keep your utilization in check and only report a balance on one card (below 9%) for best results!!

Re: Is the seven years based on "date of last activity"?

Once  you know the actual DOFD on the OC account that preceded the collection or charge-off, then the drop-off date is determined by FCRA 605(c).

I would not rely on "projected" dates.  Those are not statutory dates.  You have no idea how the CRA calculated that projected date, what date they based it on, or what date of statutory running of CR deletion then used

FCRA 605(c) says that the 7-years drop off date runs from the date of your DOFD, plus 180-days.

That is not a prohibition against reporting by any crediror or debt collector, it is soley a prohib8ition on the CRA for credit report inclusion.

So running of the date after which a CO or CA can no longer appear in your normal CR begins at the date (DOFD + 180 days), and expires 7-years thereafter.  FCRA 605(c).

DOLAs are meaningless in this calculation.

But even this is not an absolute prohibition.  See FCRA 605(b) for exemptions.
