Joint acct reporting

I have a joint acct in good standing but they only report for my spouse.

Have 10k paid in Orthodontics and that never showed up but my ONE late pay did!

How can I turn this around so I can get more positive points on my report?

Re: Joint acct reporting

Is it joint or AU? What type of account is it?

Re: Joint acct reporting

Was the ortho a revolving account or just an installment-type bill? Are they reporting a history on your DW's reports?

Same question on the tire account--revolving?

Re: Joint acct reporting

Sorry, I don't know what a DW report is. When i looked it up in the abbrev. it says Dear Wife (????)

Don't know the diff between revoloving and installment accounts either, I apologize, Im credit stupid. Thats why I'm here, learning alot.

The tire account is a revoloving account in both my spouse's and my name. Bills come to both of us but they only report on his report and it's a good and current account.

The Orthodontist is I make payments ea month for the kids braces.  I'm down to 1200.00 and it was 10k.

The first 5k was one kid and his treatment is done and paid. I would think payments on 5k in good standing is reportable. The other 5k is almost paid off but she is still in treatment so it's also a good account.

Does this help???  I appreciate yours....

Re: Joint acct reporting

Sorry holhat, I made a terrible assumption that you were the husband and not the wife. Please forgive me. DW is Dear Wife. Smiley Tongue

You can call the servicer of the CC that holds the tire account and ask them to report to you as well.

The ortho probably just reports on the person that holds the insurance or the primary account holder with them--I am assuming that is your DH. You can always ask them to report on your CRs as well. This is probably being treated as an installment type of account, and isn't helping/hurting that much either way.
