I have a jydgement on my repirt that is not showing. Date Reported, Status, and Verified date.

Is this accurate credit reporting? And what steps can I take for removal.

I don't understand your question.  Is the judgment showing on your CR?  The larger issue is this:  what do your public records say?

Really, it is a matter of taking care of the underlying judgment first.  If it is paid, then make sure you  have a Satisfaction of Judgment recorded in the public records to show that it is paid.  Then notify the CRA's with a copy of the recorded Satisfaction.

If it isn't paid, then either pay it or get it vacated. Not all jurisdictions will allow you to get the judgment vacated, you will need to check your states statutes to see what is required to vacate your judgment.  While you are there, take a look at the time a judgment is valid in your state. Typical is 20 years with a renewal, but some are 10 years with renewal forever until paid.  Your state's statutes are the best place to look to get accurate info for your particular judgment.

Take care of the underlying judgment, then you can get it off of your report. Some people have been successful in vacating their judgments so don't lose hope.

Re: Judgement help!

Judgments are not "reported" to your credit file by a "furnisher, " such as a creditor or debt collector.

They are obtained by the CRAs by way of their searches of public record information.

If what is shown in the credit report is the same as what has been reported in the public record, then you should first seek correction of the public record information, such as by contact with the office of the clerk of the judgment court.

If what is shown in the credit report is not the same as that posted in the public record, then submit a copy of the posted public record information to the CRA and request its corrrection.

If the asserted inaccuracy is of items such as dates and amounts, then any dispute would only relate to correction of that inaccuracy, and would not be basis for deletion of the entire judgment from the credit file/report.

I think what they're saying is that it isn't reporting the details such as date, status, etc. The period in between is making it confusing.

Re: Judgement help!

Like the others said, I would first make sure you even have a judgement in public record, & go from there. If you do indeed have a judgement, and it is listed on your CR, it must show the correct information.

Also, who is the furnisher of the CR you are looking at? I know CreditCheckTotal has a problem with Equifax judgements displaying the correct date. Mine shows 12/1/0000 on mine.

Check the courts first to see what is displayed. You can get all the paperwork you need directly from them, or just write/print the info out wherever you are at, and then make sure the CR is displaying the correct info.
