Just approved for membership in SDFCU

As the title states, my membership in SDFCU was just approved.  However, Experian shows a HP from them for an installment loan rather then simply for membership.  Is this normal?...or should I go ahead and app for the loan (which I'm fairly sure would be denied as EX is my lowest FICO 8 number at only 597).

I actually could use the loan if approved.  It would allow me to try a few PFDs on a couple of old collections.

Membership application with State Department requires a Hard Pull.

Not sure what the explanation about the loan is, but membership is a HP.

If you want to apply for a Shared SECURED loan, to help build your credit score, you can go up to 60 months.

It is a 1 to 1 ration.  For example if you put in $1,000.00 you can use that amount as your secured loan.
