Kohl's Reporting Incorrect Balance

So less than 2 weeks ago, I bought something on my Kohl's card. Paid the balance in full a few days later, once it finally allowed me to, by showing the balance in the online account system (for some reason it took several days to even show up so it wouldn't let me pay it until then).

The day after the payment showed up in my checking account (meaning the payment had processed and come out of my bank), Kohl's reported a $70 balance to the bureaus. It shouldn't affect my utilization really, but it kept me from having AAZEO. So I'm not very pleased. I'm about to buy a car next week, so I did everything I could to ensure my credit report would look as good as possible this month. Is there any way I could get Kohl's to report the zero balance? I'm guessing it's not worth trying to dispute it and all that. But has anyone had any luck with calling and requesting an updated reporting?

Re: Kohl's Reporting Incorrect Balance

It's likely the statement was just cutting right when you made the payment. Look at your statement, I'm sure it has the 70 dollar balance on it even if the account balance is actually 0 at this point in time. You can just call them and ask if they will do an off cycle reporting. I have no idea if Kohls does this or not.
