LOST and STOLEN

I have seen in my credit report some accounts from the same company. The only difference is the account number and the notation that says "LOST/STOLEN" (those cards I have reported as stolen). What is the effect of this "double-reporting", should I dispute them or just leave them alone?

I am just afraid that it will make the average of my credit shorter.

Re: LOST and STOLEN

Leave them alone.  Smiley Happy

Anyone looking at the report will be able to see the one that ends, and the new one begins.  They figure it out with the LOST/STOLEN notation too.

If you feel more comfortable, be prepared to offer an explanation if a creditor asks.
