Hello everyone,
want to share my success story removing three consecutive late payments on one account. back in 2016. i had an auto loan and a personal loan with my credit union. one day i walk in and they offered me a holiday savings account. i accepted and opened one. the customer service rep that was helping me failed to increase the amount of money taken from payroll deduction to cover all three loan/accounts. the amount withdrawn from payroll deduction covered the fist two loans/accounts and partial of the third.
they report three months late. the money from payroll deduction paid of one loan and one account but only covered partial amount of the third. come month four. i realized the error. walked in and paid one account in full. i argued with the customer service reps and they told me that they cannot change anything that is reported to the credit reporting agency. i asked for the branch manager and he too stated that there is nothing he can do. i argued incompetence on behalf of the rep that opened the holiday saving account since she did not increase the amount to be deducted from payroll. i did mess up as well for not asking or making sure that they amount covered all three loans/accounts.
i wasnt too savvy back then. since account closed after i made full payment. i figured it is over with. fast forward today. i applied for the uber visa card and received 7-10 day message. i contacted them and was denied. i did recon and the analyst i spoke to brought up the late payments and used that as basis to deny the recon.
boy did i get upset. by this time. i had joined the myfico community. read many post on different forums. just yesterday at 5pm. i wrote an email to the CEO of my credit union. went home. slept. came back to work. checked email and no repsond. little disappointing. then around 12pm today, i had a voicemail from that same branch manager who told me that he couldnt not change or adjust the reporting to the Credit Agencies.
well guess what. he told me that he was calling me in regards to the email that i send to the President. He assured me that they will remove the late payments from all three credit reporting agencies. he apologized and stated that he wasnt aware they could do that. he told me that it might take up to three months. he gave me his direct line at the bank and his email to reach out to him if any questions.
the CEO is a great man. the email template and wording i put together from others i have read on this forum. i want to say thank you to all who jump on here in an attempt to help others.
TransUnion also EE my chapter 7 bankruptcy which was due to fall off Dec of 2018.

Good news. Regarding your BK, I filled chp 13 in 2011, it was discharged in 2015, I went onto Credit Karma and contaced each CRA and asked for it to be removed since its been 7 years. Within weeks it was removed from all reports.
removed.. feeling emotional right about now.. thanks to you guys for all the insight. as of today i have a clean report. thanks to myfico i was able to remove one negative account (credit one goodwill letter sent to CEO) and one account adjusted late payment reporting to never late (via email to CEO) and finally BK7 was removed thanks to EE.. i feel like crying !!!!!
