I recently started subscribing to the TrueCredit monitoring service, and I came across this on the the credit scores page under "here's where you can improve."
"There are too many late payments on your credit report. [Experian, Equifax]"
I've never made a payment late, and there are no records on my report that says I have. However, maybe one of you who also subscribes to the service can tell me what the white "unknown" boxes are all about. Under each month, it has the green OK box which signifies the payment was made on time, but then there's a white unkown box under some of them. Could this have something to do with why my Experian and Equifax scores are so much lower than my Transunion score, and is it something I need to dispute?
TransUnion - 734
Experian - 650
Equifax - 644
I should probably point out that I've only been building my credit for about a year (I'm 21). Perhaps that's the reason for the uneven scores.
1. Have you read the Credit 101 thread?
2. do you have a collection?

First of all, I agree with Timothy: go read Credit Scoring 101. It's stickied at the top of several boards, including this one. Read the first main post anyway, lol.
Are your posted scores from TrueCredit or from myFICO? TrueCredit (and CreditSecure, and all the other) scores are NOT the scores used by lenders. My TC scores are completely different from my FICO's --one is higher and the other two are lower. You need to get your scores here. First Google fico discount code coupon to get a discount code for at least 15% off.
TrueCredit is great for monitoring reports, but as above, their scores and advice are FAKO's. So I don't know where that advice came from.
When it comes to the displays, don't worry. You'll always get white boxes on the EQ report. And you'll sometimes get random white boxes on the others as well. Also, be sure to click "printable version" to expand for all the info. You'll see that the dates reported for TU and EX are in the form of MM/DD/YYYY, but EQ only shows MM/YYYY. As long as all the accounts are reporting on all three, and they all have the same info (balances, lates, other derogs), you're OK.
I do not have a collection.
It appears the truck I already paid off and the one I'm paying on now have not been reported to TransUnion, only the other two. I thought that perhaps that bureu would look at the other two and kind of keep themselves up to date. Do I need to write them some kind of letter or dispute to get them reported, or what can I do?
