I had a car loan in 09. I paid it off. I was late on it few times. My late payments came off my report. Why did my score drop 6 points?

Unless something REALLY BIZARRE has happened regarding your car loan, like the creditor all of a sudden reporting 12-year-old late payments (which is HIGHLY unlikely), I don't think your old car loan has anything to do with your score dropping.
I've never heard of a late payment being reported 12 years after the fact!
My score dips all the time. Six points?! That's nothing! Mine drops 60 points or more, and I don't even blink. It's normal for scores to vary from month to month. Mine drops when I actually *use* a card, i.e., a card shows a balance! No big deal.
If you give us more details about your current credit, we might be able to hone in on what caused your little dip, but, really, I can't imagine it's anything to worry about.
Thanks hopefully goes up since late payments been removed.
In the wonderful world of FICO you sneeze and you lose or gain points. Sometimes it just doesnt make sense why you sneezed in the first place. You may get them back soon and nothing changed. Its a wacky system.
