Lenders who pull multiple credit bureaus for one app

From my experience, Cap 1 pulls all three for credit cards and DCU recently pulled two (EQ and EX) when I applied for an auto loan.

EQ - 676 / TU - 667 / EX - 679

I got a double pull from Ally Bank, EX and TU.

I'm pretty sure amex double pulled the first time. Only soft pull the second.

Depending on your profile strength, you can expect this from Chase as well (with the exception of black and green star approval notifications)

I once got a triple pull from Andrews FCU. To add insult to injury, they denied my application.

Capital One doesn't always pull all three, but they can.

 

In my case, I've seen them pull Experian and Equifax, but not TransUnion. I've also seen them pull all three.

 

They probably have some system that decides. In my case, the time they didn't pull TransUnion was a few months ago, and it costs them to pull each bureau and I have two other card accounts with them, so their system probably decided that I wasn't risky enough to justify paying for another report.

From what I understand you can freeze one of the bureaus and it will still go through. Worst comes to worse you unfreeze it.
