Lexus Financial

I pulled my TU and EQ at myfico on Friday during the day, and then applied at Lexus dealer for financing a few hours later.  On myfico my scores were TU 664, EQ 615.  When the Lexus dealer pulled the credit, (I have a copy), through Route One Direct Access Credit Bureau, the scores were EQ 568 and TU 607.  These do NOT look like autoenhanced scores, but I'm not sure how to tell.  Any input?

Re: Lexus Financial

Route One is not a credit bureau.  They just have a direct link with other dealers and the 3 CRAs.

It is very possible the scores are autoenhanced, just depends on the model they are using.

You can always ask the dealer.

Re: Lexus Financial

Of course, a finance company is not a "credit bureau," so that is misleading.

Regardless.

If the dealer is relying on Route 1 Direct for the source of scores they use in making lending decisions, it doesnt really matter if it is a FICO, FICO auto-enhanced, or FAKO score.  They are entiled to make their lending decisions on whatever information they choose to be relevant, as long as they dont violate federal discrimination statutes.

So I dont see how haggling with them over discrepancies in other scores that you have will accomplish anything, unless they consent to base their decision on your source of scores, rather than theirs.

It will cost them money to pull your report and scores from a scoring source with which they dont have a current contract.  So that probably wont happen.
