Re: Lurker with a question

Is that house in your name or your name and your wife's name? If it is just in your name, and you and the wife arent getting along, I would be careful who knows what she could do to it. If the house is in your name only, and you do get a divorce and you dont want to live in it, rent it out to someone else. It would be really hard to sell it right now. I would also look at your home owners insurance, and make sure you are covered if any damage is done to the house by her, just make sure you have enough coverage.

Re: Lurker with a question

The OP got the help he needed without having to disclose his personal life.  He gave us an update by letting readers know the 30 days has been removed.   Congratulations again OP!

Excellent!! You must be a good negotiator to have all that success without having to write.

Not really that great of a negoiater, I simply try to be polite, nice and honest with them. In BA case he had me on hold for about 10 minutes while he checked my account. He said the only reason he was removing it was because he noticed I did notify them previously that she had not made the payment ( I called them the day it became 30-days late) and that I made the payment myself online when it was obvious she had not mailed the payment in (the 45 day mark).

Now it's a waiting game to see if I get some of the letters saying the items will be removed or wait and see if they are removed from my report. I am pretty confident, based on my discussions, that they all will be removed. Most of the people I spoke with with were very nice and helpful. I try and explain my situation to them, be very polite, and answer any and all questions they have.

I did make sure to get names and ID numbers of everyone I spoke with. I realize they can tell me anything to get the payment and if thats the case with a few, then at least they are paid. When a rep says they can't do it, I explain that I understand their hands are tied and that perhaps a supervisor would be able to authorize it. I ask nicly to speak with a supervisor and the 1st thing I tell that supervisor was how helpful the rep was. I also ask for a mailing address so I can send a thank you & kudo's letter to.

If some are not removed as promised, I will call again and speak to supervisors, again acting polite and nice and I image it would only be a matter of time before I get one who truly wants to help.

I am pretty confident that all will be removed as promised and as per the letters I have already recieved.
