MIDLAND REPORTING ON EX

Hi All,

I've been cleaning up my credit report(s) with all 3 CRA's. Here's one I've not seen before, maybe someone can shed some light. I had 2 cc's way back when with Aspire (which when I rec'd it I told cc co I did not want to open since the fees were outrageous). At the same time I got a card with a $300.00 limit from First Nat'l Bank of Meridian. I kept that one and paid it in full every mo. I closed it a year later due to outrageous fees.

I see on my EX, they are both reporting as "NO STATUS". Date opened varies. I know these were in 2005. Here's how they report:

Midland Credit Mgmt.  (no mention of Aspire, but I know that was for them).

Date opened: 2/2006, Reported since 6/2005, Date of Status: 6/2005, Last reported:n/a

Type: n/a. terms: 1 month. n/a for credit limit/original amount, high balance,

Your statement:  Account in dispute under Fair Credit Billing Acts.

The same goes for the wording on First National bank of Marin with the exception of the date opened: 10/2006, reported since 10/2004, date of status 10/2004 last reported n/a

All of the other verbage is the same as the Aspire one.

What gives?? Dare I open a can of worms with the CRA or lay low and see if something happens or these fall off?

These 2 accounts are noted in my EX report as "negative accounts affecting my score" etc.  These are not on EQ or TU.

Any help is much appreciated.

Re: MIDLAND REPORTING ON EX

Hi, I also have Midland reporting on my CR from a previous Aspire accout. My org limit was $500.00, but due to my fail to pay it is now 1700.00. Midland sold my account to a law firm. I settled with the law firm for 1300.00. I paid 500.00 on 01/26/09 which the reported on 02/16/09. My EQ score went from 492 to 511, and my TU score went from 588 to 611.  I paid the additional $800.00 on 02/6/09, so hopefully i see another spike, however EQ has it list has a past due revovling credit card, but transunion has it listed as an collection item.
