Hello I am new to the forums I'm sorry if this questions has already been asked. But I am currently deployed to the Middle East and have been since October. I check my credit profile every month and in January I had a collection for $42 dollars from a medical provider. I had no clue this bill existed from not being able to get mail or phone calls. Me being young and not knowing much about this type of situation (first ever negitive report) I called as fast as I could and payed it. I'm wondering is there any grounds to stand on to try and get it removed from my CR.
Thanks in advance for your help.
All you can do now is make a request for a goodwill deletion from the one who is reporting it. Had it been unpaid there would have been other remedies to this. I would also bring to their attention that you have been deployed overseas and do have protections on this. Medicals are typically the easiest to get removed.
