If I have a credit card account from a few years back that I disputed and it is now showing "RemarksAccount information disputed by consumer, meets FCRA requirements", do I need to follow up with a certain person/company to go over this to try to have it removed or is this just a general statement that reflects to this account when credit is checked? I'm trying to clear up as much of my carelessness from the past as it is biting me every time I turn around. Any advise is much appreciated!

Are you disputing accurate information?
If yes, why?
If no, please elaborate.
Once yu file a dispute with a CRA under the FCRA, the CRA is required to conclude its reinvestigtion within 30 days and provide a notice and record of the results.
"Meets FCRA Requirremements" is the recording by the CRA that they concluded the reinvestigation and that the accuracy or completeness of the disputed information was found to comply with the FCRA. See Field 20 of the base segment of the consumer file.
Once reported, it remains as a record of the outcome and is not deleted unless shown to be inaccurate.
For various legal reasons, the CRAs must retain a record of filing and outcome of prior disputes in order to ensure compliance with various provisions of the FCRA, such as sections FCRA 611(a)(5)(B) and (C), FCRA 611(a)(7), and FCRA 611(b)-(d).
