I have a bagel place in town that has an MCC of 5499 - which when you look up is the following:
Miscellaneous Food Stores–Convenience Stores, Markets, Specialty Stores, and Vending Machines.
Now before I looked up the code, I figured I would use a "food" card to get a discount when I make purchases there. However I never got any. When I looked the code up finally, the description made it sound like a "grocery" card might work there, but tried that and still nothing.
Curious if anyone has a place they go to that carries the 5499 MCC and if so and you get a discount using a specific CC, what CC are you using and what reward does it fall under?
