Midland Shpwing as an open account? Worth Disputing

Midland is showing a charged off SBC bill on my CR as "open" I already sent them a DV, wondering if I should dispute this with the CR as well while waiting to hear back (Sent DV last week)


DOLA is Feb 2004, SOL is 4yrs.

I DV'd Midland on 2/20, and am anxiously awaiting the arrival of 3/26 in order to send a second letter.

I disputed with one of three CRA's, it came back "Account disputed - in accordance with FCRA" or some such.  From what I read here, it sounds like that message is the response to my dispute and that they "investigated" with Midland.

The moment I get the second DV letter off, I re-dispute with the CRAs by fax, no?  And include the verbage about reporting to the California AG and BBB in the same second dispute letter?

Advice gratefully taken.
