Minors, identity theft and fixing it

I have three children and a horrible ex who I am now positive is using our minor childrens ss#'s. What is the best way to check all bureaus quickly, freeze them so he can not continue to use them and clear everything/close everything he is currently doing?

First thing, file a police report.

I need to get reports first and quickly. Knowing is one thing, having the documents to back it up to file a report on is another. And yes, that us what I am going to do on top of giving it to the judge.

Signing up for a trial of Experian Credit Works Premium will give you an option to scan your child's SSN.  Not sure about other bureaus, just throwing that idea out there.

It doesn't show their credit reports or anything. I did it.

Just an idea but what about your bank? Is there a way that you could go to your bank, explain the situation, and request them to pull your child(rens) report? They may not let you see it, but they can tell you if there are things on it.

Also, could you pull their reports from the yearly free site? I cant remember the web address offhand, but you can google it.

If you find something, file a police report, and file a dispute with the reporting agency. They will freeze the accounts for identity theft.
