My first GW success!?

So it can happen after all...

I have been pleading with a local CA since September to remove a collection that eventually resulted in a Judgment. I paid within days of their deadline and the only reason I was late was because I lost their paperwork for a week or so and they were not properly listed in the yellow pages. I have GW'd 4 times and this last time I sent it to the owner of the company. This was well over a month ago, and I had given up hope. Pulled a TC today and the collection is GONE from EX. Still on TU and EQ, but this has only happened in the last 4 days (pulled TC on Friday and it was there) so I'm hoping it drops from the other 2 this week (although TU is abysmally slow and pissing me off lately). I am thrilled. I wonder if he is willing to do this, if there is anything he could/would do for getting the judgment removed? Patience will tell I'm sure and of course I'll keep you posted. I'm just so happy! This was a collection and judgment from last year so this will hopefully give my scores a nice boost!! Hooray!!

Hippychic, you have the "big mo" on your side. Momentum is a funny thing, first you have it, then you don't. I like the mometum that you are building. An object in motion tends to stay in motion...

Re: My first GW success!?

Thanks! I need that motivation that comes from my tiny successes, and that's also why I try to share them as often as I can. Sometimes I feel hopeless but you're right, once that ball starts rolling it goes for a little while, especially with a little bit of a downward slope (and my FICO friends kicking it for me now and again...)

I only went up 1 pt on my FAKO for EQ but i don't even think about those anymore. My FAKO's have only gone up 10-15 pts from when I started while my FICO's have gone up like 70 pts, so there's no telling what will happen when I pull them again. It is everything i can do not to pull on Monday, but my fiance is trying to get me to wait a little bit longer until those 2 collections that I paid this past week update. OMG it's so hard to wait!

Re: My first GW success!?

Be patient. If you pull now, before the collections update, you will want to pull again in a week. I am thankful that I have a mortgage broker that has been pulling my credit and sharing the CRs with me or else I would be doing the same thing.
